Submitted by on March 24, 2009 – 6:59 amNo Comment

Intro: Towering seafood platter

Details: Riverside, Crown Casino, 9292 7899

Surroundings: Bright, formal, black and white themed. Suited for corporate lunches rather than a fun night out.

Liquid consumption: Riesling, Leo Buring Leonay ‘Watervale’, Clare Valley – South Australia

Entree: Bread

Main: Number 8 seafood journey for two people, featuring a selection of natural and cooked oysters, scampi, smoked salmon, scallops, whole market fish, prawns, poached mussels and Moreton Bay bugs.

This was all I was looking forward to all day at work. It was an anti-climax. It had all the trimmings of a great seafood platter, but for the price , I expected better. The prawns were a little tasteless, dry and required alot of dipping into the sauces.  However, the towering presentation was great.

Dessert: No room for it

Bring a date here? Yes

Night out with friends here? eh

Service: Reasonable.

$$$: 120

Food Rehab Verdict: Still sane (good, but not great but check it out if you’re in the area) – Orangelight

Times revisited: 0
