Intro: Hidden gem found above above bustling Swanston St
Details: 301 Swanston Street Melbourne VIC 3000 9663 8477
Surroundings: Warm, rustic, exposed brick walls create a cosy and inviting atmosphere with views across from the state library and surrounding high rises.
Liquid consumption: Homemade Lemonade and Lemon, Mint, Lemon and Honey Tea (pictured below). Both of these were great, but the hot tea was the standout. I occasionally revisit this place just for this drink. It is nothing I’ve ever tasted. The fresh mint leaves, teamed with wedges of lemon and honey all work really well to produce a concoction that not only tastes amazing but could also cure that damn cold! The place is renowned for its cheap drinks like a Pear Bellini amongst other cocktails/mixed drinks all fall under the $10 mark. For Melbourne, that’s dirt cheap.

Entree: Turkish Breads with dips was a little on the weird side. There you had the tzaziki but the other two were a mystery. If my tastebuds serve me correctly, one was a mixture of pine nuts and olive oil and the other was finely chopped Spanish and brown onions with olive oil and a touch of vinegar.

Main: Olives, Fetta and Tomato Pizza- this was great. I love Pizzas with a strong tomato base to carry the toppings in case they lack in flavour. In this case though, all ingredients spoke for themselves.

Dessert: Stomach says NO!
