Surroundings: Red themed (red comfy chairs, wall illustrations of stretching and talking cows) fun, casual.
Main: Five years of regularly eating Grill’d burgers, despite competition from similar joints like Urban Burger and Burgers Edge, nothing else seems to compare. It could be the freshness of the ingredients, crispiness of the salad, combination of the tomato relish and herbed mayo and the quality of the 100% lean meat.
The best part about Grill’d is you don’t get that feeling of crapiness or greasiness after finishing off a traditional burger plus it’s 95% fat free.
I’d normally go for Simply Grill’d (beef pattie, lettuce, tomato, herbed mayo and tomato relish) or the Mighty Melbourne (above) which comes with tasty cheese, crispy trim bacon, free range egg, beetroot, cos lettuce, tomato, relish and herbed mayo. Now for the tricky part- figuring how to eat the tower.
FOOD REHAB TIPS- HOW TO EAT A GRILL’D BURGER
1. As soon as the burger arrives, gently press down on the thing until you feel confident you’re able to bite it comfortably without getting lock jaw!
2. Leave the Grill’d pick in and gradually move it back as you consume. This will prevent the disaster of the burger falling apart!
Bring a date here? Hell yeah! Watching each other attempt to eat these babies in a proper manner is pure entertainment! Just don’t wear anything white.
