Hey Belle- It’s usually the ‘ugly ducklings’ that are hidden deep within laneways that produce the gems. The places that serve up knockout dishes time after time….but can’t afford a PR launch. We need to flush em out!

Hey Mellie- haha, thanks, I’m humbled by that statement Yes, writing my Food Battles chapters are my fav. Shame about being disappointed 3 times though…hopefully you didn’t fork out too much.

Hey Leona- hehe, tell me friends that! I think comics rock. Another hobby that’s costly LOL. We cant always have our eyes glued to LCD screens all day long can we. hmmm.. I love sushi trains, but not a huge fan of the chains/take away joints that aren’t authentic.

Thanks for stopping by my blog Love this post! I’m such a huge fan of Japanese food… I could have it everyday and be happy. Even sushi train sushi or food court sushi – I’ve never really had a terrible one…. At worst, they’ve been average, at best they have been orgasmic! lol… I feel like Jap now. Too bad it’s bed time!

Awesome post! Great minds must think a like, as I was contemplating doing a battle post too!

I concur with Meiji. I’ve been three times (to give it the benefit of the doubt), and while I’ve had some ooookaaay food, the service and the serving of food leaves a lot to be desired. Waiting 40 minutes for a lunch dish is a big no-no in the CBD, especially at that price point.
