The Paris to Provence Festival will be held on Friday October 1 and Saturday October 2 where you will see France coming to Melbourne!

Why am I blogging about this event despite severe jet lag from my overseas trip? Because there will be food, GLORIOUS food cooked by none other than Celebrity chef  Shannon Bennett of Vue De Monde D.a.y.e.m!

There will be 100 stalls, live entertainment, performances by the Melbourne French Theater, French chocolates, cheese, French wine, beer and music…French everything. Personally, I’d like to win the trip for 2 to Paris.

  1. To make believe ‘le tour de france’, I’m hoping that punt road can be my alps and at como I’ll crack open my victory champagne.

  2. Because I’ve gone into severe withdrawal from all things French after my 3 week holiday there in June and I’ll be really sick if I don’t get to go!

  3. Omg! I cant wait to attend this event, I love both french fashion and food, especially their macarons and stripey tops haha 🙂

  4. One, because I love food and the thought of attending this excites me to no end. Two, because I know my mum would love this as much as I would! We dont really spend a lot of time together anymore, it’d be fantastic if we could share something like this together!

  5. Mmmmm French delectables…… So good it should a sin!!!

    **Drool**

(And thanks to mon grand-père for giving me the taste for it!)

  6. Because daylight saving will have started & I’ll need something to look forward to after having to get up 1hour earlier! S’il vous plaît-moi à choisir!!

  7. The french epitomise all things nice, romantic and sweet like this poem,

Long-felt desires, hopes as long as vain–
sad sighs–slow tears accustomed to run sad
into as many rivers as two eyes could add,
pouring like fountains, endless as the rain–
    cruelty beyond humanity, a pain
so hard it makes compassionate stars go mad
with pity: these are the first passions I’ve had.

    Viva la France!!

  8. Oh pick me pick me pick me! I would so love to be there! My husband and I only just found out that this will be on, and it landed on our 3 month wedding anniversary! I was googling melbourne french festival to find more details and this came up, I think it’s a sign. We are both wanting to learn more about all things french, especially leading up to our Europe trip in the next 12 months. PICK ME 😀

  9. I am in love with everything French …. I am sure I must have been Frnech in a past life. I would adore to come to the French festival and enjoy French culture in downtown Melbourne. Amazing experience I’m sure. Anything to get a French fix!!!!
