Intro: Whole baby chicken in steamy broth, chases the flu away, kicks the tongue with five spice salt
Details: World Square, Liverpool St, Sydney 2000 (02) 9267 8040
Surroundings: Bright red walls and modern cubed chairs spread over two levels.
Liquid consumption: Peach Iced Tea was nothing revolutionary (think Lipton) but did the job of calming the fiery KimChi.
Main: Ginseng Chicken- Was not what I expected it to be like- in a good way. Being so tired having walked the whole of Sydney all day, when the dish came out, my eyes went from weary to wide eyed and beady in awe.
A whole steamed juicy baby chicken (stuffed with sticky rice, cloves of garlic and ginseng) came drowned in broth filled with shallots, spring onion and tofu. I was like a little kid finding hidden treasures. Although flavorsome on its own, the five spice salt and lashings of kim chi only further complimented it.
Dessert: no room
