Submitted by on March 27, 2009 – 12:04 am3 Comments

Intro: Block of chocolate sitting in my mug, waiting to be transformed by a jug full of hot chocolate

Details: 91 George St, The Rocks Sydney

Surroundings:.Outdoor seating with waterfront views, indoor atmosphere perfect to relax in and indulge in the chocolate heaven that awaits you.

Liquid consumption: this was a surprise. I had no idea Guylian had a café until I stumbled across the place on my Sydney Food Tour. Although I just succumbed to a few sweets at Cupcakes on Pitt, I had to fit this place in no matter what- tough it up! Belgian Hot Chocolate- As you can see in the below image, there was a block of chocolate sitting in the mug, a pot of hot chocolate enough for two and two wrapped up chocolates to take home. The texture wasn’t too thick or rich to make you feel sick afterwards allowing me to devour the contents to the last drop.  What a nice ending it was.

Problem was actually getting out of my chair to pay the bill…now this was painful.

Bring a date here? Yes, sugar high=good times

Night out with friends here? Yes

Service: Friendly and always checking to see if everything was alright

$$$: 7

Food Rehab Verdict: Sent me to food rehab (book this place now! Wowzer) – Greenlight

Times revisited: 0
