All I want for Christmas is…you a Hamburger Cushion. Check out these eye watering cushions I came across. Definitely on my to get list unless I’m a happy recipient of course. I can picture myself arriving home from work and napping on this delicious looking specimen as well as using it to stir up an appetite (not that I need it :P) .
You can grab one of these babies at Melbourne Central for RRP $24. Just in case you’re wondering, this is not a product endorsement.
Every year, it is tradition that my friends I go to The Boulevard at Ivanhoe to lift up our Christmas Spirit and fixate our beady eyes at the many houses decked out with Christmas decorations. It’s amazing to see the amount of effort these folks put in which attracts up to 20,000 people each year. The event (15 – 24 December) has been running since 1950!
It reminds me of my holiday in San Fransisco where many streets were filled with fake snow, candy covered houses, man made snow slides and giant candy canes- I felt like I was in some theme park! Mind you, these were just in ordinary streets. Loved it.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a bloatfull holiday. Now, to more ham…and perhaps some exercise!
Do you know of any other Melbourne streets that light up during the festive season?

That’s a great idea to visit some of those streets. I think we have a couple in Sydney that are quite famous and I’ve seen them on the news but I should pay them a visit next year (or this year if they’re still up hehe).

Hey Lorraine- Def check em out- nothing like the streets in the US, but it’s worth it. I’m hoping to go to NY next year xmas which should be very festive.
Haha those burger cushions looks yummytastic! I’ve always had a grudge against food-shaped thingos though, I often feel cheated I can’t eat them! Grr!
Can’t believe I consider myself absolutely Melburnian and have never even heard of The Boulevard @ Ivanhoe – will have to go give it a go next year! Thanks!

That last photo of the xmas lights is always my favorite place. I didn’t go this year cos the last two years have been disappointing.

Oh dear, I’ve just taken down my Christmas decorations (they were getting in the way of the dusting). Seeing the lights in the neighbourhood makes me think I was a bit premature. Better than leaving them up till the end of January, though…. PS: Happy new year!
